A tragic boat accident happened in Hạ Long Bay on July 20, leaving 35 people dead and four others missing.
The tourist boat, Vịnh Xanh 58, was carrying 49 people, including 46 tourists and three crew members, when it faced bad weather and lost its GPS signal.
The boat sank quickly during its trip to Sửng Sốt Cave and Ti Tốp Island. Almost 1,000 rescuers and over 100 boats worked for 15 hours to rescue passengers and recover the boat.
Deputy Prime Minister Trần Hồng Hà supervised the operations, urging teams to act fast before Typhoon Wipha arrives.

Authorities explained the storm was caused by unstable weather after three hot days.
The government gave VNĐ25 million to the families of those who died and VNĐ5 million to survivors.
Free accommodation and meals were provided by 22 hotels in Hạ Long to grieving families.
Boat trips in Quảng Ninh were suspended to ensure safety. By Sunday morning, 30 bodies were returned to families.
The search continues for the four missing victims.

According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
