A dead rat was discovered in a platter of food served at a restaurant.
According to a report by TV5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' a group of friends was horrified upon realizing what had been mixed into their meal.
The same report stated that they had nearly finished the dish before noticing the dead rat in their food.
They immediately called the restaurant manager to report the disgusting incident.

However, the manager denied the accusation and said that it was not a dead rat but a piece of meat.
That group of friends who experienced the nightmare in that restaurant went inside the restaurant's kitchen.
There, they were even more surprised after seeing the unsanitary condition of the restaurant's kitchen.
They quickly reported the incident to the police authorities.
The Indian Food and Drug Administration immediately went to the said restaurant for inspection.
If a restaurant is found to have unsanitary food and kitchen conditions, it may face fines, citations, or mandatory corrections enforced by health inspectors.
Severe violations can lead to temporary or permanent closure, especially if issues like pest infestations or food contamination are present. Legal action may arise if customers suffer from foodborne illnesses, damaging the restaurant’s reputation and causing financial losses. In extreme cases of negligence, owners or managers could face criminal charges.
