In India, a stampede claimed the lives of at least 15 people and left 15 others injured.
According to the chief minister of the capital, the tragic incident occurred in **New Delhi** on Saturday night.
The chaos began when two crowded platforms, filled with passengers waiting to board trains bound for Prayagraj City, became overwhelmed.

As reported by GMA News Online, Prayagraj City was the host of the Hindu Maha Kumbh festival, which draws millions of devotees.

According to local media reports, included in the casualties were ten women and three children.
Atishi, Delhi's chief minister, said on X that pilgrims were among the many victims in the stampede.
Meanwhile, Indian Minister, Narendra Modi, together with other federal ministers also confirmed the accident on social media.
Indian railway stations are extremely crowded, especially in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata, with thousands of people waiting for trains that arrive every few minutes. Platforms are packed, and when a train arrives, crowds push in, with some even hanging onto doors or sitting on the roof when it's too full.
