According to AllKpop’s report, Jung released a video on her YouTube channel documenting her search for work in the taxi industry.

The South Korean star showed herself preparing for the taxi license exam. During a mock exam, traffic-focused YouTuber Park Rae Ho was impressed by how well Jung answered the sample questions. He even warned her not to aim for a perfect score, saying, “No one has ever scored 100.”

“I’m confident I’ll pass. I want to score over 90,” said Jung, who studied a lot for the test.

In a previous video, Jung revealed her father worked as a private taxi driver for over 30 years and raised her with the said job. She further revealed, “He recently had surgery for esophageal cancer and hasn’t been well. I want to invite him as my first passenger once I pass.”

She also mentioned that she had learned through her research that a taxi driver could make about 10 million South Korean Won (US$7,293) a month if they worked hard. “These days, even major companies don’t pay that much. If you put in the effort, this can be a really good job,” she said.

In a report by VnExpress International, Jung decision to change careers came after her businessman husband’s betrayal. In 2018, Jung divorced her husband, who was later discovered to have embezzled 13.2 billion won using her name. He has since fled overseas and left the celebrity mom to raise their daughter alone, without any child support payments from her former spouse.

VnExpress International also noted that Jung herself lost over 100 million won in her ex-husband’s scam. In a past interview, she recalled: “After my last film, there was no work. I looked at my bank account and felt completely lost.”

“Things are still uncertain, but raising my child has made me stronger,” she shared.

In a previous report by KAMI, Kim Jong Suk, a South Korean model and reality TV star, has died at the age of 29. He passed away on June 4, 2025, according to media reports. His family then released a statement urging people to stop spreading false information about his death. Jong Suk was a model for the cosmetic brand DASHU and appeared on tvN's dating reality show “The Skip Dating.”

In another report, K-drama superstar Kim Soo Hyun reportedly lost endorsements such as the luxury brand Prada, as written by Korean media outlets. This was following the controversy circulating the actor after his reported romantic relationship with the late actress, Kim Sae Ron.
