Hidilyn Diaz shares pieces of advice to voters days before May 9 polls

Hidilyn Diaz, along with other national athletes and their teams, are all set to represent the Philippines in the Hanoi Southeast Asian Games.
Days before the sports event, the Olympic gold medalist penned a lengthy post where she urged the Filipinos to support them.
“I’m ready to represent Philippines again in Southeast Asian Games together with #TeamHD and #SWP athletes.”
“16 days nalang bago ang kompetisyon ko sa #SEAGames2021 sa Hanoi. Manood at suportahan ninyo po kaming mga Filipino athletes na maglalaro sa SEA Games dahil gagawin namin ang lahat para i-representa ang Pilipinas at para maipakita na magagaling, malalakas at madiskarte tayong mga Pilipino.”

Furthermore, the weightlifter shared some pieces of advice to all Filipino voters as the Election Day nears.
“5 days na lang din before ang National Election natin sa Pilipinas. Sana lahat tayo ay bumoto ng tama, bumoto ng kandidato na i-lead tayong mga Pilipino. Bumoto ng kandidato na maging sources of inspirasyon natin, bumoto ng kandidato na sa tingin natin maging magandang halimbawa sa mga kabataan.”
“Gaya namin mga atleta, responsibilidad namin ang i-representa ang Pilipinas.”
“Ang pagiging Presidente ay malaking responsibilidad, kaya naman tayong mga botante, kilatisin ng maayos ang kandidato na ating iboboto,” Hidilyn added.
Hidilyn Francisco Diaz is the first Filipino to bring home an Olympic gold medal. She also holds an Olympic weightlifting record in the women’s 55kg division, which she achieved during the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. During the 2007 SEA Games held in Thailand, she won the bronze medal and placed 10th place in the 53-kilogram class. She went on to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics where she became a Silver Medalist in the women’s 53-kg category.
Hidilyn revealed on October 16 that she is already engaged to her boyfriend and strength coach, Julius Naranjo. She shared the good news with the public in a social media post showing a photo of her donning her Olympic gold medal and her stunning engagement ring.
Following the news, talent manager and broadcaster Noel Ferrer posted a video of Julius sharing the story behind the engagement ring he gave to Hidilyn. Julius conceptualized the stunning design of the ring with the help of Manila Diamond Studio. He likewise said that its design was inspired by his girlfriend’s Tokyo 2020 win.
