Mariel Padilla revealed to her husband, Robin Padilla, that she used to get emotionally affected when seeing people criticize him for running for senator in the upcoming 2022 Elections.

According to Mariel, she got hurt and offended when one of her childhood friends seemed to question Robin’s qualifications as a potential senator.
“Early on, I had a childhood friend who, para sa akin, kwinestyon niya na tumatakbo ka,” Mariel shared.
Furthermore, Mariel unfollowed that friend on social media and decided to focus more on the positive comments from the people who support her husband.

As for Robin, he expressed his doubt that the person Mariel talked about was really a friend, to begin with.
“Childhood friend? Hindi mo friend yun,” Robin replied.

Robin Padilla is a famous action star and endorser in the Philippines. He is married to actress-host Mariel Padilla. The actor has two children with Mariel – Isabella and Gabriela. He is also the father of actress Kylie Padilla, the wife of Aljur Abrenica. Robin will run for senator in the 2022 Elections.
In a previous report by KAMI, Mariel went viral for expressing her support for employees of the Kapamilya network after ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal was rejected by Congress. Robin has also made known his position, saying that he wants the network to be reformed but he does not want it to get shut down.
Her husband Robin also made the news after his sibling BB Gandanghari accused him of being a neglectful brother and a hypocrite. Robin Padilla responded to BB Gandanghari by expressing his love for his sibling. Netizens praised Robin for not firing back against BB.
