KAMI learned that Robin was asked by Mariel why he decided to run for senator in the upcoming 2022 Elections.
Mariel speculated that Robin ran for senator because of his love for his country, his great concern for his countrymen, and to represent Islam in the Senate.
Robin replied that although Mariel’s speculation is correct, what pushed him to run was when he learned who will be running for senator in the election.

According to Robin, seeing those people made him realize that there needs to be a new voice in the Senate that will be able to advocate for positive changes in the country.
“Nung nakita ko ‘yung mga tatakbo at sila na naman, nag-desisyon na talaga ako.
“Sabi ko, ‘oras na rin na marinig nung mga tao kung ano ‘yung dapat nilang marinig.’
“Kasi tuwing eleksyon, paulit-ulit na lang nilang naririnig yung mga sinasabi. Gusto ko naman may marinig silang reality. Yung tunay, yung totoo,” Robin told Mariel.

Robin Padilla is a famous action star and endorser in the Philippines. He is married to actress-host Mariel Padilla. The actor has two children with Mariel – Isabella and Gabriela. He is also the father of actress Kylie Padilla, the wife of Aljur Abrenica. Robin will run for senator in the 2022 Election.
In a previous report by KAMI, Mariel went viral for expressing her support for employees of the Kapamilya network after ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal was rejected by Congress. Robin has also made known his position, saying that he wants the network to be reformed but he does not want it to get shut down.
Her husband Robin also made the news after his sibling BB Gandanghari accused him of being a neglectful brother and a hypocrite. Robin Padilla responded to BB by expressing his love for his sibling. Netizens praised Robin for not firing back against his sibling.
