The Land Transportation Office (LTO) officially issued a Show Cause Order (SCO) this Sunday, ensuring that the aggressive behavior seen on the road does not go unpunished and serves as a firm warning to all drivers.
According to a report by GMA News, the erring motorist was flagged not only for the shocking weapon display but also for a blatant disregard of basic traffic rules.
The agency's initial review of the footage revealed that the man was driving without a seatbelt during the heated confrontation.

LTO Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao strongly condemned the act, emphasizing the agency's absolute zero-tolerance policy for highway intimidation.
“Hindi lugar ang kalsada para sa marahas na pag-uugali at panunutok ng baril. Kapag nagmamaneho tayo, hindi lang sarili natin ang iniisip natin kundi pati ang kaligtasan ng ibang motorista. Ang ganitong mapanganib na pagmamaneho at pananakot ay hindi natin palalampasin at mananagot ang mga gumagawa nito,” ASec Lacanilao stated firmly.
The formal order explicitly cites multiple severe infractions. These include Reckless Driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, and being an Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle.
Authorities have made it clear that additional charges could pile up depending on the outcome of the ongoing, thorough investigation into the harrowing street encounter.
To ensure strict compliance, the agency ordered both the driver and the registered owner of the van to personally appear before the Office of the Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) at the LTO Central Office along East Avenue in Quezon City.
Scheduled for September 25, 2026, this crucial hearing requires them to submit a sworn statement explaining their side, along with all original registration documents related to the vehicle.
In the meantime, the government has imposed an immediate 90-day preventive suspension on the suspect's driving privileges, requiring him to surrender his license without delay.
