One inspiring graduate made sure to honor the woman who helped turn her college dreams into reality.
Taking to Instagram, user @lilly.x0o uploaded a heartwarming video from her graduation ceremony for her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree. The clip showed Kara David walking up to embrace her tightly in a warm hug before joining her on stage for the diploma presentation.

In her caption, the graduate poured her heart out in immense gratitude to Kara and her scholarship foundation, Project Malasakit, which the award-winning documentarist established in 2002.
"I am beyond grateful na isa ako sa mga kabataang naging scholar ng Project Malasakit, founded by the one and only Mrs. Kara David," Lilian wrote.

According to the graduate, she is extremely grateful to the Lord for Kara's presence and foundation.
"Buong puso akong nagpapasalamat sa Diyos dahil ibinigay Niya si Ma’am Kara bilang isang blessing sa buhay ko—isang taong naging daan upang magkaroon ako ng pagkakataong mabago ang aking buhay, maipagpatuloy ang aking pag-aaral, at mas mapalapit sa aking mga pangarap."
She emphasized how much Kara's guidance and support meant throughout the difficult years of working toward her diploma.
"Higit sa lahat, binigyan ninyo ako ng bagong pag-asa, inspirasyon, at pagkakataong patuloy na mangarap at maniwala na posible rin pala ang mga pangarap na dati ay tila malayo sa akin," she expressed.
By the end of her post, the graduate thanked Kara and her foundation, Project Malasakit, once more.
"Habambuhay kong ipagpapasalamat ang kabutihang ipinakita ninyo sa akin at ang pagiging bahagi ninyo ng journey ko.
