Jennica opened up about the deep personal reason behind her eagerness to build her own household.
"Kasi para sa akin, the sooner I will get to have that complete family, the happier I will be. Parang yun siya sa akin, parang siguro dahil nga hiwalay yung parents ko tsaka ako kasi yung anak sa labas, both mother side and father side," she revealed.
The actress recounted the moment she first learned the term "anak sa labas" through a conversation with someone at school who asked about her family background, one that genuinely shocked Kring as well.
"Nalaman ko lang 'to nung parang natawag ako sa school ng ganun. Sabi niya, 'Kasal yung mommy mo tsaka yung papa mo?' 'Hindi.' 'Ah so may family na yung mommy mo.' 'Oo, meron na.' 'Eh yung dad mo? Pano yun? May asawa na yung dad mo?' 'Oo, meron.' 'May anak siya dun?' 'Oo.' 'Ah so parehong may anak, so ikaw yung anak sa labas.' So dun ko na-gets yung anak sa labas, na, 'Ah yun pala yung mga illegitimate,'" Jennica recalled.
When host Kring Kim pointed out that she was still the eldest child of both her parents, Jennica clarified the legal definition she learned growing up.
"Oo, pero kasi ang legitimate child is ano yung kasal yung parents mo, so parang legally speaking, parang ganun ata yun," Jennica added.
Jennica's honest and grounded storytelling resonated with viewers, who praised her openness and maturity.
