A three-year-old boy is now safe under the care of authorities after he was allegedly abu*sed by his mother’s partner in Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City.

The disturbing incident, which happened on Monday, was captured by someone and later aired on Balitanghali. The footage showed a man repeatedly attacking and ki*cking the child inside their home. Despite the boy’s loud cries, the assault did not immediately stop.

Based on police investigation, the suspect is the 28-year-old partner of the child’s mother. Authorities said the man was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the incident and had earlier argued with her partner before taking out her anger on the child.

The child sustained visible injuries on his body due to the repeated abu*se. Concerned for the boy’s safety, his uncle reported the incident to authorities, prompting a rescue operation.

Police were able to locate and arrest the suspect shortly after the report. The child was immediately brought under the care of the Taguig City Social Welfare and Development Office, where he is now in a safe and stable condition.

Investigators also noted that the child’s mother refused to file a complaint against her partner. Despite this, authorities said both the mother and the suspect may still face charges for violating the Special Protection of Children Against Abu*se, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

The suspect has yet to release any statement regarding the allegations.

Authorities continue to remind the public to report any form of child ab*se immediately to ensure the safety and protection of minors in similar situations.

In separate developments, authorities reported a deadly family dispute in Bocaue that left a 45-year-old woman dead after allegedly being attacked by her younger half-brother. Police said the confrontation reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over a request for fare money, which escalated into violence.

Meanwhile, in Bokod, a 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the killing of his 74-year-old mother. The case came to light after a resident discovered human remains partially exposed in a shallow grave nearby. In a separate incident, emergency personnel in Zamboanga City responded to an unusual call after a large python was found inside a parked vehicle. The Bureau of Fire Protection later released footage showing responders carefully removing the 10-foot snake, an operation that quickly gained attention online due to its rare and alarming nature.

Wildlife conservation efforts were also highlighted in Aurora, where officials successfully released a Northern Luzon giant cloud rat back into its natural habitat. The species, which is endemic to the region, is considered rare and plays an important role in maintaining forest biodiversity.

Authorities in the respective areas continue to urge the public to remain vigilant in both community safety and environmental protection.
