The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon along Earnshaw Street in Barangay 172, shortly after the victim, identified as Michael Ong, got off his motorcycle.

Surveillance footage showed the suspects ganging up on Ong, repeatedly punching him before taking his belongings.

Ong managed to break free and run, while the attackers fled the scene. He sustained visible injuries, particularly on his face, following the assault.

Sumisigaw sila, ‘Yung bag kalkalin mo,’”.

According to barangay officials, neither the victim nor the suspects are residents of the area.

Police later conducted a backtracking operation, leading to the arrest of one suspect at his residence. However, the stolen cash and jewelry have yet to be recovered. Authorities also discovered that the suspects are siblings.

The case gained further attention after Ong shared his experience on social media, prompting others to report similar incidents.

A separate cellphone video from January showed a group of men assaulting another individual in the same district, with Ong claiming the attackers appeared to be the same people.

An anonymous message alleged that Ong knew the suspects and had previously shot one of them, but he denied the accusation.

The Manila Police District confirmed that one suspect is now under custody and facing charges of robbery with physical injury, while charges are being prepared against the two remaining suspects. The investigation remains ongoing.
