Israeli rescue services reportedly recovered their bodies from the rubble following an intensive hours-long effort to locate survivors in the collapsed structure.

The DFA expressed its "deep sorrow" over the loss and confirmed that the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv has already established contact with the victim's next of kin in the Philippines.

"We join the Filipino community in praying for her eternal rest and for strength for her family during this time of profound loss," the department stated.

While official documents have not publicly named her, some reports have identified her by her given name.

This tragedy follows the death of Mary Ann, a caregiver from Pangasinan, who was the first Filipino casualty of the conflict on February 28.

The escalating violence has placed over 30,000 Filipinos in Israel, many of whom serve as dedicated caregivers, in a precarious position.

Despite the dangers, many choose to remain by the side of their elderly wards, often in areas now vulnerable to long-range fire.

Repatriation efforts are currently underway, though officials warn that the process may face delays similar to those experienced in previous weeks due to volatile airspace conditions and widespread flight cancellations.

To date, the DFA has already assisted in the return of over 900 non-working Filipinos who requested to leave the conflict zone.

As the situation remains fluid, Philippine authorities continue to urge all citizens in the region to prioritize their safety and maintain constant communication with the embassy as the government monitors the safety of those still caught in the crossfire.

In news back home, a devastating road accident in Alyosan claimed four lives and left nearly thirty others needing urgent medical attention. The disaster unfolded when a truck lost control and flipped over while attempting to dodge a motorcycle, eventually crashing into a concrete barrier. A second vehicle traveling in the other direction was caught in the wreckage as passengers were heading back to their residences. Law enforcement officials have taken the truck’s operator into custody as they work to determine the exact cause of the fatal crash.

In other news, a Filipino teacher was detained by Thai police following a deeply distressing discovery at a local commercial center. Witnesses and officials observed that the woman appeared highly disoriented and was unable to clearly explain the circumstances of the event. Records show the individual had recently moved to the country in late 2025, a detail investigators are considering while reviewing her history. The Philippine Embassy is currently providing the citizen with necessary representation and wellness support while the formal inquiry continues.
