The policy also clearly bans drinking sessions inside police facilities, regardless of the occasion.

These guidelines are in place to ensure discipline, maintain public trust, and prevent actions that could undermine the credibility of law enforcement.

According to PRO-8, a formal inquiry is already underway to establish what actually happened and to identify those who may be responsible.

“An immediate investigation is underway to verify the circumstances surrounding the incident and to determine the accountability of the personnel involved. Should the allegations be proven true, appropriate administrative and disciplinary actions will be imposed in accordance with existing laws and PNP policies,” the statement read.

Authorities said the investigation will focus on gathering statements, reviewing available evidence, and determining whether police protocols were violated during the event.

PRO-8 also expressed appreciation for the concerned citizen who reported the alleged incident.

Officials said such reports play a crucial role in strengthening transparency and accountability within the organization.

Alcaraz gained international recognition for her bravery during a massive high-rise fire in Hong Kong last November, where she protected her employer’s three-month-old infant by wrapping the baby in a wet blanket and using her own body as a shield against the flames. The deadly blaze has since been classified as one of the most fatal apartment fires worldwide in recent decades, leaving more than 160 people dead and prompting multiple arrests over alleged safety lapses and malfunctioning alarm systems. After completing medical treatment in Hong Kong, Alcaraz was assisted by the Department of Migrant Workers and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in returning safely to her hometown in Laguna, where she will continue receiving support for both physical injuries and emotional trauma.

Meanwhile, authorities and animal welfare advocates are probing a shocking case of animal cruelty near the Montalban Public Market, where CCTV footage captured a man repeatedly striking a dog with a wooden club. Initial findings suggest the assault was motivated by revenge, as the suspect is believed to be the owner of a fighting rooster that was allegedly bitten or killed by the dog. Video evidence and witness statements show that the main suspect was accompanied by two other men, who are reportedly not residents or familiar figures in the Rodriguez area. The Animal Kingdom Foundation has committed to helping pursue criminal charges under the Animal Welfare Act, stressing that inflicting harm on animals as a form of retaliation for property loss constitutes a criminal offense.
