A report received by Kidapawan City Police said around 100 students were made to participate in several activities as part of a tradition before starting their internship.
May pinapagawa sa kanila every stages na different physical exercises like jumping jack, push ups, gano’n,” said Police Lieutenant Colonel Dominador Palgan, officer-in-charge of the Kidapawan City Police Station.
The college’s dean, Dr. Rolando Demaulo Poblador, said he inspected the event beforehand but was unaware that harmful substances were hidden by senior students.

“Without my knowledge pala, tinago nila sa mga sasakyan nila. Tapos during the event, secretly kinuha nila. Aywan ko kung anong klaseng kemikal ‘yon,” he stated.
Poblador also acknowledged possible friction between senior and junior students.
According to police, the chemical mixture sprayed on students contained “battery solution,” vinegar, and chili, which caused burns.
Poblador halted the event upon learning of the injuries and ensured victims received first aid and medical examinations.
Authorities have identified five suspects who facilitated the activity.
Police are coordinating with school officials, and the suspects may face charges under the Anti-Hazing Law.
