A shooting incident involving two students shocked the University of Abra community after an 18-year-old college student was wounded outside the main campus in Barangay Poblacion, Lagangilang, Abra, on Friday afternoon, August 22.

Authorities identified the victim as Prince Albert Barbosa of Dolores, Abra. According to initial investigation, the suspect, Jave Talaga Bragas, 24, from Bucay, Abra, was reportedly intoxicated when he provoked Barbosa and eventually shot him three times.
Bragas fled the scene aboard a motorcycle, while Barbosa was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said follow-up investigation and manhunt operations are ongoing to track down the suspect.
