Authorities successfully rescued a three-year-old girl on Sunday, August 11, after she was allegedly kidnapped by her family’s household helper the previous day.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Saturday, August 10, when the suspect, who had been working for the child’s family, reportedly took the girl without permission.

The child’s parents immediately sought help from authorities upon discovering her disappearance.

A follow-up operation led law enforcers to the suspect’s location, where the young victim was found unharmed.

She was promptly reunited with her family, who expressed relief and gratitude to the responding officers for their swift action.

Investigators said the suspect admitted to committing the crime, allegedly due to financial distress.

She reportedly told police she needed money to pay off personal debts, which pushed her to carry out the abduction.

The suspect is now under police custody and is facing charges for kidnapping.

Authorities emphasized that they are also looking into whether other individuals were involved or if there was a broader plan behind the abduction.

Police officials reminded the public to be extra cautious when hiring household help and to conduct proper background checks to ensure the safety of children and family members.

The Quezon City Police District lauded the coordinated efforts of its units, saying that the timely rescue was made possible through quick reporting by the victim’s family and the immediate mobilization of law enforcement teams.
