A woman lost her life after being hit by falling debris when a speeding truck crashed into a store where she was buying something.

The tragic accident happened in Barangay Bago, Ibaan, Batangas.

According to CCTV footage shown on GMA 7’s ‘Balitanghali,’ a truck was making a right turn to enter the gate of a multi-purpose cooperative.

But from a distance, another truck was seen driving fast and didn’t slow down, even after seeing the other vehicle turning.

The speeding truck crashed into the turning truck, which then hit the nearby store, causing debris to fall and strike the woman.

It tried hitting the brakes but it was too late.

The truck driver ended up crashing into the right side of the road to avoid a head-on collision with the truck which was turning right.

It hit the store of the cooperative firm where the woman was buying.

The truck driver who crashed into the firm was already in police custody. He will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property.

Investigation about the incident is still on-going.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
