Danmark Masongsong has informed his wife, Cynthia Masongsong, about the tragic death of their daughter, Malia, after a horrifying incident at NAIA Terminal 1 on Sunday, May 4.

An SUV plowed through the waiting area, fatally striking Malia and injuring others, ABS-CBS News reported.
Recalling the moment he told his wife, Danmark shared the heartbreaking exchange.
“Sabi ko sa kaniya, ‘Mommy, wala na, iniwan na tayo ni mahal.’ Sumigaw, umiyak, nagwala, pero hindi niya ma-ano ang katawan niya, gusto niya magwala. Niyakap ko lang. Sabi ko, ‘Nandito lang ako, Mommy, hindi kita pababayaan, aalagaan kita.’”

Cynthia, overwhelmed with grief, screamed and cried uncontrollably.

Additionally, the Overseas Filipino Worker, father of the 5-year-old girl victim in the NAIA Terminal 1 incident yesterday, has no longer proceeded to leave the country. In a report by GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' he and other family members went to a Pasay funeral facility where the initial processing of the deceased victims was made. The OFW father of the girl victim personally took his daughter's remains and will be bringing them to Lipa City, Batangas.
