A high-speed pursuit in Midsayap, Cotabato, concluded with the deaths of three individuals suspected of motorcycle theft, following an alleged armed confrontation with law enforcement.

The incident unfolded after the suspects reportedly resisted arrest at a police checkpoint in Libungan.

According to reports from GMA Regional TV One Mindanao, authorities indicated that the suspects, upon encountering a checkpoint, opened fire on police officers.

A chase ensued as the suspects fled towards Midsayap, with police in pursuit. The pursuit culminated in Barangay Sadaan, where the suspects' vehicle reportedly crashed.

Rather than surrendering, the suspects allegedly continued to engage the police with gunfire, prompting officers to return fire.

The three suspects sustained fatal injuries during the exchange. They were transported to a local hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.

Lieutenant Colonel Arniel Melocotones, Chief of the Midsayap Municipal Police Station, confirmed that the suspects were believed to be involved in a series of motorcycle thefts in both Midsayap and Libungan.

Of the three deceased, authorities have currently identified only one individual.

This incident underscores the dangers inherent in high-speed pursuits and armed confrontations between law enforcement and suspected criminals.

The police action shows the risks that officers take, to apprehend suspected criminals. The fact that the suspects continued to fire at the officers after crashing their vehicle, shows a level of desperation.

She also narrated the alleged conversation that her sister had with their mother concerning the suspect whom the victim refused to lend her makeup to.

Still in other news, the sister of the Grade 8 student who was stabbed by her classmate in school sought the help of Raffy Tulfo in Action. She revealed some of the details that allegedly transpired on the day that her sister was stabbed. According to the victim's sister, the stabbing happened right inside the classroom, and that was in the presence of the substitute teacher. She also alleged that when her sister fell, everyone just panicked and ran and that the suspect 15-year-old allegedly even chased two more of his classmates.
