VP Sara, isiniwalat sitwasyon ni FPRRD sa hospital facility ng ICC: "Kumportable siya"

- Vice President Sara Duterte assured that her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, is “comfortable” inside the Hague Penitentiary Institution’s hospital facility despite the cold temperatures

- In an interview with GMA Integrated News, the vice president said that FPRRD's doctors have received a copy of his medical records and noted his list of prescribed medications, ensuring his health is being monitored

- Duterte described his living quarters as similar to a hotel, except that he cannot leave

- She also said that the former president is “charming everyone inside” and engaging in friendly banter, though detainees do not see each other as they have individual rooms

Vice President Sara Duterte confirmed that her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, is currently at the hospital facility of the Hague Penitentiary Institution.

Following her visit on Tuesday, Sara stated that her father is “comfortable” despite the cold temperatures in The Hague.

“Hindi siya nire-release ng doctor (The doctor did not release him),” she said when asked if he needed to visit the clinic from his detention room for regular health monitoring.

His doctors have already received a copy of his medical records and noted his list of medications.

Binigyan ng copy and records ang mga doctors doon sa loob. And they have taken note [of] the list of medicines. Alam naman ng mga doctor yun sa loob,” she explained.

The Vice President mentioned she has not personally seen his quarters but relayed her father’s description of his living conditions.

“Ang sinabi niya sa akin, ‘Para akong nasa hotel except hindi ako makalabas (He told me he feels like in a hotel, except that he can't go out),’” she shared with GMA Integrated News.

She also revealed that her father is socializing well.

“I have to tell you: he is charming everyone inside. It’s his style, eh. He’s very friendly with people inside. Mayroon na silang banter (They already have a banter),” she said.
When asked whether his interactions were with detainees or staff, she clarified, “Hindi sila nagkikita ng mga kapwa detainee niya... One detainee lang per room… Hindi ko lang alam kung they see each other somewhere.”
