- Caught by the dashcam of the bus, the victim was riding a bicycle, and it suddenly cut the bus and entered the EDSA Busway

- Because the cyclist suddenly appeared in front of the bus, hitting the brakes was already too late and it still hit the man

- In a report by TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the victim was brain dead for 5 days in the hospital before eventually hitting the flat line

A 43-year-old man was struck by a bus while riding his bicycle along the EDSA Busway in Makati City

Dashcam footage from the bus showed the victim suddenly cutting in and entering the bus lane

The cyclist appeared too suddenly, leaving the driver no time to hit the brakes, resulting in the collision

According to a report by TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the victim was brain dead for five days before eventually passing away in the hospital

The victim was also reportedly a stroke survivor and it took 3 days before the family of the victim learned about his condition.

Even though the parents of the victim admitted it was their son's fault, they were still appealing to the bus company to shoulder the hospital bills of their son.

As of now, the driver's license of the bus driver is currently on hold and the possible complaint against him would be reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property.

Meanwhile, the authorities pointed out that the EDSA Busway is exclusively for city buses only.
