Former PBA star and Gilas Pilipinas player Gary David was involved in an incident during a basketball league in Bataan.

The incident took place during a game between Limay and Dinalupihan, where David was coaching his team.

In a video, one of David’s players was elbowed by an opposing player, which triggered an angry reaction from ‘El Granada.’

He immediately approached the referee to complain, but while he was voicing his frustration, the player who delivered the elbow appeared to mock him by clapping in his direction.

That's when David's anger erupted, so he confronted the player and pushed him.

The basketball venue turned into chaos for a while as everyone was on the verge of their hyped emotions.

Then suddenly, a man from the audience ran straight to David and seemed to throw hands at him. Thankfully, the league officials and policemen pacified the situation and the game resumed as usual.

Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, Limay Basketball Team issued an apology to David. They also stated their utmost respect to David and called him an "idol."

Gary David, known as "El Granada," is a retired Filipino professional basketball player famous for his scoring ability in the PBA. Born on July 13, 1978, in Dinalupihan, Bataan, he played as a shooting guard and small forward for several teams, including Air21 Express, Powerade Tigers, GlobalPort Batang Pier, and Meralco Bolts.

He won multiple PBA scoring titles and was instrumental in Powerade’s Cinderella run to the 2012 PBA Philippine Cup Finals, averaging over 25 points per game. His stellar performances earned him spots in the PBA All-Star Games and a place on the Gilas Pilipinas national team. Even after retirement, he remains a respected figure in Philippine basketball, remembered for his clutch plays and passion for the game.
