A man lost his life after being attacked by a farmer in Bukidnon.
According to a report by GMA Regional TV, shared on the GMA Integrated News YouTube channel, the victim was found lifeless.
Based on police investigations, the victim reportedly ran away after being caught allegedly stealing.
The farmer, who owned the plants, chased after him, and when he caught up, he carried out the attack.

The suspect farmer threw the victim's head on a grassy area.
As explained by the farmer who eventually surrendered to the police authorities, he was carried away by too much anger.
According to him, the victim whom he killed had stolen from his plants multiple times.
The police authorities eventually let the farmer suspect go because the victim's family didn't want to proceed in filing complaints against him.
In the Philippines, a person who killed someone may not always be free just because the victim's family does not want to file a case. If the killing is considered murder or homicide, the government can still investigate and file charges.
The police and prosecutors can collect evidence and bring the case to court even without the family's complaint. This means the person who killed someone can still be arrested and punished by law.
