A graduating IT college student lost her life after being struck by a speeding motorcycle in Minglanilla, Cebu.

CCTV footage captured the girl, identified as "Angeline," crossing the pedestrian lane.

Suddenly, a speeding motorcycle appeared and hit her, causing her to be thrown several meters away.

She suffered multiple bone fractures and hit her head on the ground.

In a report on TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the victim was rushed by an ambulance to a hospital but she eventually died.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle rider identified as Gerald who works as a security guard sustained a fractured left arm.

According to the police investigations, the graduating IT college student was on her way home when the tragic incident happened.

On the other hand, the suspect motorcycle rider was reportedly late at work that's why he was speeding.

They also added that the suspect might have not noticed that there was a pedestrian lane in that area near the church.

Angeline was the eldest among 6 children and was supposed to help her family once she graduated.

In fact, the victim's father was also rushed to the hospital because his blood pressure spiked up because of what happened.

The suspect is now detained at Minglanilla Police Station and will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
