An argument between two male cousins in Laoang, Northern Samar, ended with one of them attacking the other with a machete.
Based on the investigation, "Jake" came home drunk while "Kim" and his friends were also drinking nearby.
A report from *Frontline Pilipinas Weekend* mentioned that Jake was already in a bad mood even before joining Kim and his friends.
Out of nowhere, Jake suddenly took out a machete and attacked Kim, leaving him with an injury on his neck.

Thankfully, he survived the attack. The suspect is now imprisoned and will be charged with frustrated homicide.

It's the same kidnap-slay crime committed against Ruby Rose Barrameda in 2007 and as it turned out, the alleged mastermind behind the two crimes was believed to be the same person.
