A newborn baby was found abandoned in a grassy area in Cannery Site, Polomolok, South Cotabato.
The baby reportedly had ant bites and was only wrapped in a piece of torn sack.
According to a report by GMA Regional TV in 'Balitanghali,' the baby's umbilical cord was still attached.
The baby was taken to a hospital and is now safe and being cared for.

The police authorities are still in the process of knowing who was the parent responsible for the crime.
