In a report by GMA News Online, the victim was identified as Ren Joseph Bayan, a grade 11 student at San Pablo National High School.

On Sunday night, around 10:20 P.M., Ren Joseph’s aunt informed the Jaen Municipal Police Station that her nephew had passed away.

It happened after he underwent what was described as a "final hazing" in San Leonardo, facilitated by a fraternity.

Witnesses, along with the aunt, stated that the suspects brought Ren Joseph’s lifeless body to their home in Barangay San Pablo, Jaen, around 5 p.m.

The Jaen police requested SOCO’s assistance in conducting an autopsy to confirm the exact cause of death.

Meanwhile, Ren Joseph's school extended their heartfelt condolences to their bereaved student.
