The suspect in the killing of 18-year-old Mae Fatima Tagactac, was reported to have a dark background since he was allegedly the primary suspect in the murder of his own father in 2023.

According to the report of Sunstar, the suspect allegedly stabbed his father, 63-year-old Police Major Lorenzo Larot, 21 times.

News5 reported that the policeman was a retired officer when he was murdered.
