"Tanggap na nya and situation, nag-sink na sa kanya and mga pangyayari. As I have said, you just have to leave it to the Lord because he has a better purpose for all that is happening right now," David said on GMA's report.

Alice Leal Guo was the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac, and was eventually dismissed. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.

In a previous report by KAMI, Alice Guo’s signature in the counter-affidavit she submitted prior to her arrest in Indonesia and her signature during her Senate attendance last September 9 did not match. In a report by ABS-CBN, the National Bureau of Investigation said that the two signatures are not the same. It can be recalled that Guo, through her lawyer, submitted a counter affidavit dated August 14, which has been notarized by Atty. Elmer Galicia. It was later found out that Guo already left the country last July 17, raising questions about the document submitted to the Senate after August 14.

Additionally, Alice Guo answered the question about Atty. Elmer Galicia, the notary public who notarized her counter-affidavit. The dismissed Bamban mayor confirmed knowing the lawyer in a video shared by GMA News. "Kilala," she described the notary, without further elaborating on the depth of their being an acquaintance. Alice was brought back to the Philippines after DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos and PNP Chief Rommel Marbil flew to Indonesia to secure her custody.
