Maine Mendoza lilipat sa ABS-CBN?! ‘Eat Bulaga’ absence sparks network transfer speculations among AlDub fans

- Maine Mendoza was reportedly absent in the Kapuso noontime program, “Eat Bulaga” since Nov. 27

- Some AlDub fans speculated that Mendoza might transfer to ABS-CBN over contract issues

- AlDub fans launched a “white rally” to show their unwavering support to Mendoza

Nicomaine Dei "Maine" Capili Mendoza is the famous Yaya Dub of the “Kalyeserye” segment of hit Kapuso noontime show, “Eat Bulaga!” (EB). She rose to instant stardom after being paired with actor Alden Richards.

But rumors have it that Mendoza might either quit the entertainment industry or transfer to other networks. In a report that KAMI obtained from PEP, some AlDub fans showed their concern over Mendoza’s notable absence from “Eat Bulaga!,” the GMA 7 noontime show where she was discovered.

As per the report, the 22-year-old actress/TV host’s absence started after she posted a cryptic message on Twitter, which was just a day after she posted her open letter to her fans.

According to her fans, Mendoza’s message could be her personal response to the negative criticisms her open letter got. Her absence could mean that Mendoza may just want to take a break from the glitz, the glam, the craziness and the pressures of showbiz.

Some fans, however, can’t help but speculate Mendoza’s absence could mean a possible network transfer. In one of the Twitter posts, a fan wrote that Mendoza could have gone out of the country.

The post even hinted the possibility that Yaya Dub’s team might settle her GMA 7 contract in exchange for her freedom. It also mentioned that Mendoza might transfer to GMA 7’s rival network, ABS-CBN, so she won’t be forced to team up with Richards.

Although some AlDub fans declared to withdraw their support when she transfers to other networks, another fan said he/she would be glad to see Mendoza grow as an actress in other TV networks.

Meanwhile, KAMI previously reported that Mendoza and her mother have flown to the U.S. for a badly-needed vacation. Yaya Dub is reportedly taking an indefinite leave and will stay there for a month.

Mendoza and Richards’ EB loveteam has earned the moniker “AlDub,” which has spawned into one of the strongest celebrity fanbase in the Philippines today. Even though fans clubs are there to support fast-rising celebs, they could also put some pressure in the personal lives and career of their respective idols.

Late last month, Mendoza posted an open letter to her fans. She thanked them for their support and also expressed what she truly felt.

Speaking of support, the AlDub Nation recently launched a “white rally” outside the “EB” studio in Broadway Centrum, Quezon City. The Nov. 30 rally aimed to show their unwavering support to Maine Mendoza.

KAMI admires Mendoza’s courage and strength and we hope she’ll surpassed all these trials in her career.
