4 years ago, Marjorie reconciled with father Miguel after he told her to drop Barretto surname

- 4 years ago, Marjorie delighted her followers on Instagram when she posted a photo of her dad which confirmed their reconciliation
- That was after years of having a family feud involving her other sisters Gretchen and Claudine

Marjorie Barretto has been fond of sharing some glimpses of her special moments with her father, Miguel Barretto, who passed away this afternoon.
Even her children who are Julia, Dani, Leon, Claudia, and Erich are evidently close to Miguel, based on her social media posts.
Despite having a solid relationship with her dad, it can be recalled that they also went through a serious rift in the past.
In 2013, it came to the point when Mr. Barretto told Marjorie alongside her sister Gretchen to drop their 'Barretto' surname.
He also accused them of "bullying" their youngest sister, who is Claudine.
"Kung kinakahiya nila ang Barrettong pangalan, wag na nilang gamitin, magpalit sila. Gretchen can use Cojuangco kung papayagan siyang gamitin ang Cojuangco, I doubt kung papayag naman si Cojuangco. Marjorie can use Baldivia if she wants kung kinakahiya niya 'yung Barretto," Miguel stated at that time.
In 2015, Marjorie surprised everyone when she posted a photo of her dad on her Instagram account, which was a confirmation that they had reconciled.
"My Dad is ready!!! Even wearing a Manny Pacquiao shirt," she wrote.
A lot of people became happy for them way back then, as they were able to patch things up.
