A tragic incident occurred during the "Enchantress of Inayawan 2024" beauty pageant in Cebu City on Wednesday night, leading to the untimely death of a guest dancer.

The event was part of Barangay Inayawan's fiesta celebrations.

Moreover, the incident happened when the dancer, while descending the stage stairs, appeared to lose consciousness and fell down.

Barangay Chairman Kirk Repollo shared that the barangay’s emergency personnel promptly responded, and the dancer was rushed to the nearest hospital.

Unfortunately, despite their efforts, she passed away a few hours later.

In a statement, Chairman Repollo expressed deep sorrow over the incident, marking it as the first of its kind in their fiesta activities.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the dancer's family, emphasizing that the barangay will provide assistance with the funeral and related expenses.

The tragic event has left the local community in mourning, and Repollo has requested prayers for the eternal peace of the dancer's soul.
