In an article by the Philippine Star, which quoted a GMA News report, the Court of appeals said in its order that it had reason to believe some of the said assets “are linked to to unlawful activities and predicate crimes.”

In a 48-page resolution, the Court of Appeals said that it found reasonable grounds to believe some of the bank accounts of the fugitive pastor “linked to unlawful activities and predicate crimes.”

The CA said such unlawful activities include qualified human trafficking, fraud, money laundering, conspiracy, s3x trafficking of children, s3xual and child abuse, marriage fraud, and smuggling.

The assets covered under the recent order of the CA include 10 bank accounts under Quiboloy’s name, 7 real properties, 5 motor vehicles, and one aircraft.

The CA also ordered the freezing of the bank accounts of the operators of Sonshine Media Network International or SMNI, which are the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) and Swara Sug Media Corporation.

In a Rappler news report, it also quoted the CA as saying that it ordered the freeze on the said bank accounts so it wouldn’t be withdrawn or transferred.

“In order to avoid the possibility of the funds in the subject bank accounts and/or properties from being withdrawn, removed, transferred, concealed or placed beyond the reach of law enforcers, this Court finds it appropriate and judicious to issue a 20-day FREEZE ORDER as prayed for by petitioner over said bank accounts,” the CA, as quoted by Rappler, said.

Meanwhile, the Daily Tribune reported that not only Quiboloy’s assets were frozen but those owned by some of his associates as well.

These include bank accounts and assets under the names of Maria Teresita Dandan, Sylvia Cemañes, Marlon Acobo, Paulene Canada, Jackielyn Roy, Ingrid Canada, Helen Panilag, Alona Santander, Cresente Canada, and the Children’s Joy Foundation Inc.

The fugitive pastor is currently under the spotlight after a reward was offered to anyone who can give an info about his whereabouts. In the report done by News5, anyone who could provide an info about the wanted pastor will receive the reward. A Php 1,000,000 offer was also put up for Quiboloy's companions as well. Previously, a Davao RTC ordered the arrest of Quiboloy.

Meanwhile, former President Rodrigo Duterte could face a charge of "obstruction of justice" after making some statements about the matter. According to PNP Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil, they're studying the statements made by Duterte. He also said they're waiting for witnesses to come forward so they could determine if the former president could be charged under PD 1829.
