A food delivery rider, who was standing next to his motorcycle, was killed in a road crash involving a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a sedan in on Thursday in Iligan City.
In a report by GMA Regional TV One Mindanao last Friday, the delivery rider was identified as Elmer Balacy, 30, a resident of Barangay Mahayahay.
In the video footage on Bonifacio Avenue in Brgy. Bagong Silang captured around 1:00 pm, it can be seen that an SUV crashed into the front portion of the sedan. Several other vehicles parked on the side of the road were also hit, including Balacy.
According to the Traffic Division of Iligan City Police Office, the SUV driven by a 48-year-old man was reportedly running at high speed as the driver was allegedly in a hurry to buy medicines.

The 22-year-old driver of the sedan and his companion, who were rushed to the hospital, were injured.
Meanwhile, the families of the victims are determined to file charges against the SUV driver who was taken into police custody.
