- The Philippine Coast Guard revealed that it helped a Chinese crew when the latter cut his thumb in Antique

- According to the PCG, the crew was a second engineer of the Hong Kong-flagged MV BBG Qinzhou, a bulk carrier, GMA News reported

- A fan blade then accidentally cut his left thumb, resulting in severe pain

- The carrier was headed to Indonesia when the incident happened

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has just helped a Chinese crew of a bulk carrier, MV BBG Qinzhou. It was a Hong Kong-flagged carrier, which came from Nansha, China and was headed for Tanjung Bara, Indonesia.

The crew was a second engineer who cut his thumb accidentally because of a fan blade, around 9 a.m. on Thursday, as per Manila Bulletin.

GMA News revealed that the Chinese crew was safely evacuated according to the PCG.

“In coordination with the captain and vessel’s agent, the PCG deployed BRP Kalanggaman to the rendezvous area at 1.5 nautical miles of Nogas Island, Anini-y, Antique," the PCG stated.

Four medical personnel of the PCG gave medical assistance to the 35-year-old Chinese crew.

When the injured crew arrived at the Iloilo wharf, he was immediately turned ove to the agent of the vessel who handled transportation and brought him to the hospital, Philstar reported.

Another such example of news or posts that went viral is that of a cow unexpectedly appeared during a volleyball game in Lipa City, Batangas. In a video uploaded by Aina Tarrayo on Facebook, players and spectators were surprised when the cow appeared in the middle of the game. In an interview with GMA Regional TV, Aina said there are farms near the court where the cow may have come from. The report likewise underscored that no one was harmed during the cow's brief intrusion.
