He took to his Facebook page on Tuesday, July 2, to post a video addressing the viral incident during the recent Wattah Wattah Festival in San Juan City.

Lexter first reacted to bashings and threats he has been receiving since the video showing him dousing a motorcycle rider with water went viral.

“Medyo nai-stress-stress na ako guys sa mga nambabash sa akin, nagbabanta sa akin. Hinahanap ko nga si manong rider para matapos na 'yung problema, mawala na yung mga mambabash.”

The viral “basaan” participant went on the air his message to the rider.

“Ako po ay humihiling sa inyo. Gusto ko po kayong maka-meet at humingi ng tawad sa iyo sa personal sa nagawa ko. Patawarin niyo po ako.”

He also vowed to give the rider a helmet and a raincoat if they meet again.

“At hindi lang po 'yun, bibigyan ko rin po kayo ng helmet pati kapote.”

The “basaan” tradition during Wattah Wattah Festival is part of the celebration of the city’s patron saint, Saint John the Baptist. It is being held every 24th of June.

The man in a viral video from the recent Wattah Wattah Festival reacted to comments against him. According to the viral Wattah Wattah Festival participant, he asked the motorcycle rider if he could douse the latter with water but he refused. Despite this, the man still doused the rider with water and urged the latter not to go to San Juan every June 24 if he doesn't want to get soaked.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora apologized following the chaos during the Wattah Wattah Festival last June 24. In a press conference, Zamora stated that appropriate charges will be filed against the unruly participants of the traditional “basaan.”
