Julius Babao & Christine Bersola renew their vows on 20th wedding anniversary

- The religious ceremony was presided over by Bishop Raul Martirez, the same person who officiated Julius and Christine’s wedding mass in Antipolo 20 years ago

- The couple was joined on the occasion by close friends and immediate family members

Longtime married couple and journalists Julius Babao and Christine Bersola-Babao are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary today, December 8.

To celebrate the special milestone, Julius and Christine renewed their vows in a simple but solemn wedding mass.

The mass was presided by Bishop Raul Martirez, the same person who officiated Julius and Christine’s wedding mass in Antipolo 20 years ago.

They were joined in the special event earlier today by their close friends and family members, including their two children, Antonia and Antonio.

Today we held our renewal of vows and we are just so happy that Bishop Raul officiated our simple Wedding Mass. So happy too that Ninang CheChe & Tito Delfin joined us today….after 20years ! “It was a simple gathering of only immediate family members and the closest of friends. We wanted it this way, this time around. We will just be holding a series of separate dinners with friends to celebrate our 2 decades of matrimonial union. See you soon, friends! For now, thankyou for your most fervent prayers & wishes for us, your Pappu & Mammu,” Christine wrote.

Julius Caesar Concepcion Babao is a Filipino journalist and radio commenter who used to be under the Kapamilya network, previously working for ABS-CBN for 28 years. He announced his departure from the network back in December 2021. He is also married to Christine Peji Bersola, a multi-media personality.

As previously reported by KAMI, Julius Babao and Christine Babao underwent colonoscopy and endoscopy tests. Both of them were diagnosed with GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease). Furthermore, Christine shared that three polyps were found in her body and four in Julius’s. Fortunately, their doctors told them that the polyps were not cancerous.

Meanwhile, Julius made headlines when he formally announced his departure from ABS-CBN after working with the Kapamilya network for 28 years. His co-worker, Karen Davila turned emotional in one of her online posts, openly admitting that she felt nostalgic to be working with Julius during his last week with the network.
