- Sen. Tito Sotto took to Twitter and asked the Philippine National Police why the SUV driver was not subjected to a drug test

- The senator started his tweet signifying that he was not quite convinced that the PNP followed the rules

- "PNP says they followed rules? Really?" asked the senator

- It was then followed up with another question, "Bakit hindi niyo subject to drug test? RA 10586 says so!"

Sen. Tito Sotto aired on Twitter his disbelief on the processes and actions taken by the PNP in handling the case of the SUV driver.

For the senator, as per his tweets, he was not convinced that the PNP followed the rules.

"PNP says they followed rules? Really?" was the initial question of the senator.

He then asked why was it that the SUV driver, Jose San Vicente, who ran over a security guard in Mandaluyong, was not subjected to a drug test when RA10586 says so.

"Bakit hindi nyo subject to drug test? RA 10586 says so! p!&@₱:/¥%#," went the remaining statements on the tweet of the senator.

Earlier, he also decried the disparity between the treatment of the SUV driver with that of a "mahirap na nagnakaw ng bayabas, kulong agad."

The viral incident, where a security guard who was directing traffic was ran over by a RAV-4, happened in Mandaluyong. A video captured the whole incident and it has gone viral on social media.

The senator, in a fiery post said, "Kapag mahirap nagnakaw ng bayabas, kulong agad." He then followed up his statement with a question directed at the President. Sen. PLTGen. Vicente Dupa Danao, Jr., during the press conference, stated that the SUV driver might have been scared of the firearm of the security guard. He then said that it must be the reason why he ran away instead of helping the security guard. Danao then said that it was a very unfortunate incident that an SUV ran over a security guard. "Siguro out of confusedness medyo na-rattle po yung driver," he further added.
