The controversial video had a statement, which says, "anyone who claims to work 18 hours a day is either lying or stupid" and the senator was in the controversial video.

Ka Leody, a labor leader, said that she might have said that because she did not experience being a laborer.

"Hindi niya naranasan ang pagiging manggagawa. Hindi rin siya nakalinga ng karaniwang ina na may double burden ng gawaing bahay bukod sa pagtratrabaho," De Guzman said in a statement publshed on Twitter.

De Guzman also said that due to the low salary, workers don't simply overtime but would even look for sidelines.

"Dahil sa kababaan ng sweldo, hindi lang nag-oobertaym kundi may sideline pa ang marami sa ating mga kamanggagawa," said De Guzman in ABS-CBN's report.

Imee Marcos is currently serving her first term in the Senate. She is the daughter of late President Ferdinand Marcos and former First Lady Imelda Marcos.

The short film of Sen. Imee Marcos titled, "Bitter Len-len" has gone viral. This video is alleged to be about people who are making patol with bashers on social media.

Senator Imee Marcos released a vlog to urge the government to help the Filipinos amid COVID-19 crisis. She mentioned that instead of focusing on “emergency powers”, the government should focus on providing basic goods for Filipinos. The senator also called on for the government agencies and departments to use their budgets to provide for the food supply of the citizens. Marcos also asked the national government to help the mayors in handling the COVID-19 crisis in their LGUs.
