In a Facebook post on Tuesday, November 3, Awra directly addressed the publication and appeared to express her frustration over repeatedly being featured in its news stories. She also made a pointed remark about how the outlet seemed to benefit from using her as a subject.

The actress began her post with a brief but striking comment directed at the newspaper.

“Lakas mo abante," Awra said.

She then suggested that the publication had once again been making considerable use of her name and image for its content. Her next statement carried a sarcastic tone, as she seemingly joked about the earnings the newspaper could generate from stories involving her.

“Gatas na gatas na naman ako sa inyo. Pero wag kayong mag alala abuloy ko na sa inyo yung kikitain nyo saken," she remarked.

Her remark caught attention for its sharp delivery, particularly the way she framed the publication's repeated coverage of her as something from which it could continue earning.

Rather than keeping her criticism subtle, Awra addressed the outlet directly through her social media account. Her post conveyed her apparent displeasure with the headline while using humor and sarcasm to make her point.

The incident highlights how celebrities and public figures can use their own social media platforms to respond when they feel uncomfortable with the way media outlets present stories about them.

Awra, who first gained public recognition as a child star, has since established herself as an actress and online personality. She remains active on social media, where she occasionally shares personal thoughts and reactions to issues involving her.

Her latest post offered another glimpse of how she responds when she takes issue with the coverage she receives.

Awra Briguela, whose real name is McNeal Briguela, is a Filipino actress and comedian, the daughter of Oneal Brian Briguela and Marivic Briguela, and has two younger siblings from her parents, as well as two half-siblings from her father's second marriage. She rose to fame as MakMak in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano and won the first season of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids in 2017; she also made headlines following a 2023 Makati bar altercation, with the related cases later dismissed, and has since focused on her studies and personal growth.

In another report, Awra Briguela set the record straight about comparisons between her transformed appearance and Kendra Kramer, explaining that she was not trying to look like the latter. She identified Latina model Cindy Kimberly as the person who inspired her new look. Awra also shared that she started her transformation in January and sought guidance from an endocrinologist before proceeding. She described taking hormones as a significant decision that required careful consideration.

Meanwhile, Awra Briguela spoke about how her mother Marivic's cancer diagnosis affected their family and changed her outlook on life. She said the difficult situation gave her renewed motivation to pursue her goals and work harder. The actress also expressed her readiness to use her personal savings to help provide for her mother's needs and support her siblings. Marivic has undergone two rounds of chemotherapy, with the family continuing to stand by her throughout her treatment.
