During her guest appearance on Wednesday's episode of GMA's Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, the actress addressed questions about her condition and explained why her public appearances should not be taken as an indication that she has fully recovered.

Aquino emphasized that her physical appearance does not always reflect what she experiences behind the scenes. She disclosed that she was dealing with extreme back pain on the very day she recorded her interview with Boy Abunda, her longtime friend.

"There are good days, finally," said Aquino.

She recalled how difficult things had been during Abunda's previous visit, when she was struggling to find relief from her symptoms.

"Kasi when you (Boy) visited us... there were no good days. But finally ngayon, there are good days," Aquino said.

Another significant part of her health update involved the treatment she is preparing to receive. Aquino revealed that she would be undergoing immunosuppressant therapy to help control her multiple autoimmune diseases.

She explained that the treatment works by suppressing the immune system's response, particularly the excessive autoimmune activity responsible for attacking the body.

"Ang immunosuppressant means wala kang panlaban sa mga sakit pero 'yong mga masasamang autoimmune na sobra-sobra, pinapatay naman niya," she explained.

Aquino also discussed how the treatment would be administered and the improvements she expects to experience afterward. According to her, the process involves two sessions, with the treatment's benefits lasting for a limited period before another round is needed.

Although the actress acknowledged that managing her condition would require continuing treatment, she expressed gratitude for the opportunity to remain present in her children's lives.

"Pero 'yon naman ang sinasabi ko, I'm alive and I get to see what's happening with the two boys," she said, referring to her sons.

Her appearance comes as Aquino gradually becomes more visible through different public engagements and brand-related activities. However, her latest revelations offer a glimpse into the health challenges that continue even as she resumes some activities.
