McCoy de Leon has addressed the growing speculation surrounding his past relationships with Elisse Joson and Sachzna Laparan, firmly dismissing claims that the two relationships overlapped as false information.

The actor spoke about the controversy on Monday, October 26, during the black carpet premiere of the horror film "VHS (Viva Horror Stories)" in Mandaluyong. His statement came after Laparan publicly discussed her previous relationship with him during an appearance on the online program "Banana Krew," hosted by DJ Jhaiho.
Rather than allowing the circulating claims to continue, McCoy expressed his hope that people would exercise greater caution before sharing information, especially when other individuals and their families could be affected.
“I am always praying and hoping that we can be more responsible sharing information. Lalo na false information, kasi may family involved. Both families involved. Lalo na pinaka-important sa 'kin, may bata involved,” he said.

His statement highlighted his concern over how online discussions could affect not only the people directly involved but also their respective families, particularly a child.
The controversy gained attention after Sachzna shared details about her past connection with the actor. During her guest appearance on "Banana Krew," the content creator and actress disclosed that she and McCoy had previously been in a relationship.
She explained that the relationship had remained largely unknown to the public for years before she decided to speak about it.
“For how many years kasi ngayon lang siya nalaman. Pero I think it is time naman,” she said.
Following the attention generated by her interview, Sachzna also addressed the reactions she received online. She said she was doing fine but admitted that she was uncertain whether her statements had offended anyone.
“Hindi ko nga alam baka may nagalit sa akin,” she admitted.
Sachzna further revealed that she had not yet spoken with either McCoy or Elisse following the public discussion about her past relationship with the actor.
