During her appearance on Chika Cart, the Kapuso actress talked about how her boyfriend shows his love and whether exchanging affectionate words remains part of their daily routine. Ashley confirmed that saying “I love you” is still something they regularly do, particularly before going to sleep.
“Oo naman. Siyempre especially kapag matutulog na, magte-text ng 'Good night. I love you.' Lagi namang may 'I love you.'”
Ashley also described their relationship as more lowkey compared to when they were just starting out. Rather than constantly making their romance public, the couple now enjoys spending time together whenever their schedules allow.

“Kasi kami ni Mavy… tulad nga siguro sa ibang mga relationship, alam mo medyo lowkey na lang din kami. We see each other, lalo na ngayon na may free time na kami sa isa't isa, so almost every day nagkikita rin kami,” she shared.
Although they have already moved beyond the honeymoon stage, Ashley clarified that this does not mean the sweetness between them has disappeared. For her, feeling loved comes from the simple things they continue to do for each other.
“I don't say na wala na 'yung mga kilig-kilig moments, kasi 'yung honeymoon stage, tapos na 'yun—two years na kami. Every day naman, I feel special basta nand'yan siya. We talk about each other's day, so feeling ko 'yun na 'yung daily basis namin,” she explained.
Aside from their everyday interactions, Ashley also revealed another reason she appreciates Mavy. The actress shared how much she values his efforts to become closer to her Chihuahua, Yoda, who apparently was not easy to approach.
“Na-appreciate ko siya kasi meron akong dog, si Yoda. Nangangagat 'yun. Alam mo si Yoda… it took Mavy one and a half year bago niya mahawakan. Ngayon, hindi pa niya mabuhat pero nahahawakan niya. Naa-appreciate ko na minamahal niya na rin si Yoda kahit gano'n 'yung ugali ng anak ko,” she happily shared.
Ashley’s stories offered a glimpse into how her relationship with Mavy has developed over the past two years. From their nightly expressions of affection to the little efforts that make her feel appreciated, the actress made it clear that their romance continues to thrive through everyday moments.
Maverick "Mavy" Fortalejo Legaspi is a Filipino actor, model, and television host under GMA Network's Sparkle Artist Center who comes from a prominent showbiz family as the son of celebrity couple Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villarroel. He has appeared in various television series, including First Yaya, Love, Die, Repeat, and as a longtime host on the Sunday variety show All-Out Sundays.
In another report, Ashley Ortega shared that she and Mavy Legaspi are celebrating their second anniversary this October. The actress admitted that she never expected their relationship to reach the two-year mark. The couple already marked the occasion early with a trip to Bangkok, Thailand, and plan to have a simple dinner together on their actual anniversary.
Meanwhile, Ashley Ortega clarified that marriage and starting a family are not yet part of her immediate plans with boyfriend Mavy Legaspi. The actress wants to prioritize her acting career and develop her two businesses before settling down. She explained that reaching a certain age does not determine when someone should get married. For now, she and Mavy are focusing on their individual careers while preparing for a financially stable future together.
