“Nag-hike kami. Nag-date kami sa park. Kaming dalawa lang. We were just catching up sa life, basically,” he shared.

Alden explained that the experience was particularly meaningful because he and his brother were not typically expressive with their affection toward each other when they were younger.

“And I appreciated that kasi I never knew that we are capable of that kind of moments, e. Kasi growing up, 'di kami showy. 'Di kami clingy sa isa't isa, so talagang na-appreciate ko 'yung moment na 'yun,” he added.

The actor also admitted that leaving his brother and returning to the Philippines brought feelings of sadness. He described experiencing “sepanx,” or separation anxiety, as their time together came to an end.

Despite the short duration of his visit, Alden considered the trip beneficial in more ways than one. Beyond fulfilling his professional commitments, he was able to reconnect with his family and create memories that he could cherish.

“I think this US trip has done me good in so many ways, and parang it made me treasure family more. Like family moments,” he said.

Alden also reflected on how his perspective toward family has changed over the years. As he gets older, he finds himself becoming more sentimental about the time he spends with his loved ones.

“But iba, kahit short trip lang, punong-puno siya ng fun, love, and shared moments together,” he added.

His experience highlights how even a brief visit can strengthen family connections. For Alden, the trip was not only an opportunity to fulfill work commitments abroad but also a chance to appreciate a relationship that has taken on a deeper meaning with time.
