During an interview with Viu Philippines, the Kapuso actor discussed how people can deal with emotionally difficult situations, particularly when relationships become complicated. Rather than immediately surrounding themselves with other people or rushing to find ways to move forward, Alden encouraged those experiencing heartbreak to spend some time with themselves.

"I think, minsan kasi, whenever we get into situations like that, like complicated ones. We tend to be too available for the people around us, specifically with friends and family," Alden said.

For the actor, being constantly surrounded by loved ones can sometimes make it more difficult for a person to understand their own emotions. He believes that creating some distance can help a person reflect more clearly on what happened and determine how they truly feel about the situation.

"So ako, if something happens that tragic, diba, kailangan mo kasing mag-pause, and re-assess and reset," he shared.

Alden's advice centers on the idea that healing does not necessarily have to happen immediately. Instead of forcing themselves to move on quickly, people dealing with heartbreak can allow themselves enough time to pause and reflect.

Taking a step back can also provide an opportunity to separate personal feelings from the opinions of other people. By doing so, someone going through a difficult breakup may have more room to assess the situation and decide what they need moving forward.

The actor's message also highlights the value of solitude during emotionally complicated periods. Although seeking comfort from trusted people can be helpful, Alden's perspective suggests that there are moments when being alone can be just as important.
