“Ako po, naniniwala po kasi ako, for example, we're promoting a project 'tapos love interest kami… Of course, sa mga ganitong event, hindi naman naming kailangang mag-act na nagkaka-in love-an or may something para magbenta po ng project.”
Instead, Ashtine expressed confidence that the series itself would recreate the romantic appeal that fans enjoyed in the original Korean drama.
The actress also recognized that some supporters might not immediately embrace her pairing with David. However, she pointed out that working with different actors is part of the profession.

“As actress or actor po, we're meant to work with anybody po talaga. Siguro po yung supporters po namin, for sure, siguro nasaktan sila or na-disappoint sila. Pero kailangan lang din po naming mag-work, e, di ba?” she said.
Despite the expectations surrounding their collaboration, Ashtine revealed that she and David had already begun developing a comfortable working relationship before filming.
The two participated in workshops and joined their fellow cast members for dinner, giving them opportunities to get to know one another outside their roles.
So far, nagki-click naman kaming lahat.
Her account suggests that their growing familiarity is helping establish a positive atmosphere as they prepare to bring the beloved story to Filipino audiences.
Beyond her excitement about working with David, Ashtine expressed gratitude for being chosen to star in the Philippine adaptation. She revealed that she was already a fan of the original series long before receiving the opportunity.
“Noong nalaman ko po na nakuha ako for this, sobrang grateful and sobrang happy ko po. Kasi, I'm a fan of this series this. Pinanood ko po siya way back pa,” she shared.
To prepare for the role, the actress decided to revisit the Korean drama so she could recall important scenes and deepen her understanding of her character. Despite having watched it before, she said the rewatch remained an enjoyable experience.
As someone who appreciates Korean dramas, Ashtine hopes to balance her respect for the original material with her own interpretation of the role.
She also said she intends to approach the adaptation with the expectations of fellow K-drama fans in mind, particularly when it comes to how the characters should be portrayed.
With preparations underway and her working relationship with David developing, Ashtine hopes the adaptation will preserve the charm and romantic appeal of the original while allowing her to bring something distinctive to her character.
