For her, the person she chooses to spend her life with carries more weight than the plans she made when she was younger. She explained that reaching a particular age is no longer the goal.
“I care more about ending up with the right person than achieving that timeline that I had when I was younger,” she shared.
The actress also spoke candidly about how she now feels about her old wish. Looking back, she expressed gratitude that she did not get married at the age she once imagined.
“And I'm grateful it didn't happen at 25,” she said. “I wouldn't have been prepared for such a thing.”
Her answer reflected a change in how she considers that major life decision. While she previously pictured herself getting married by a certain age, she now recognizes that she would not have been ready then.
The conversation also took a lighter turn when her sisters’ marriages came up. During the exchange, Dani and Claudia were mentioned as having married at 25, the same age Julia had once pictured for herself.
Rather than treating that as a reason to rush, she responded with a joke about where her earlier wish may have landed.
“Maybe I was manifesting it for them more than myself,” she quipped.
Julia then returned to what matters most to her. Her answer remained focused on choosing a partner she could be happy with throughout their life together.
“I think it's just more important to be with the right person,” she said.
She added that she would still feel that way even if marriage happened at 40 or 50. Those ages were examples of how willing she is to let go of a fixed schedule, rather than a new target for settling down.
“I just want to be happy with that person for life,” she shared.
