The lighthearted interaction began when Baus posted an Instagram reel featuring his impersonation of international pop icon Mariah Carey. Taking the joke further, the Unang Hirit and Kalurks host playfully claimed that GMA could stand for “Greater Mariah Area.”
Atty. Annette quickly joined the fun, leaving a comment that referenced the late television icon Kuya Germs.

Their exchange became even more entertaining when Baus invited the GMA executive to join him for a special musical performance during the network’s year-end party.
“@annettegozonvaldes hi, mare duet tayo All I Want for Christmas Is You sa year-end party?” Baus wrote.
Atty. Annette appeared more than willing to take part in the proposed duet and even said she would begin preparing for it.

Baus then responded with another playful compliment directed at the GMA executive.
“@annettegozonvaldes practice makes perfect but you're already perfect so why practice?”
