Miss Philippines Earth 2025 Joy Barcoma has announced her decision to step away from the comedy and pop culture podcast “Dogshow Divas,” saying she is prioritizing her peace and well-being.

Joy shared the announcement in a Facebook post on Monday, August 31, where she addressed comments surrounding her appearances on podcasts. She said she has always appreciated being invited to participate whenever her schedule allows.

“Today, I’ve decided to step away from Dogshow Divas,” Joy said.

The beauty queen then explained that while she is grateful for opportunities to appear on podcasts, the frequency of her guestings is not something she personally determines.

“Nabasa ko ang comments about my guestings. I’ve always been grateful whenever I’m invited to join podcasts when my schedule allows, but how often I appear isn’t something I personally control.”

Her statement came as she acknowledged the support she received from those who followed and supported “Dogshow Divas.” Rather than prolonging the issue, Joy said she had chosen to take a step back and focus on protecting her peace.

“Grateful ako to everyone who supported us, but for now, I’m choosing to protect my peace. All the best to Dogshow Divas!”

Following Joy’s announcement, the “Dogshow Divas” family also publicly responded to her departure. The podcast expressed appreciation for the time and energy she shared with the group, recalling the laughter and moments they had together.

"Super grateful ang buong Dogshow Divas family for all the time, energy, tawanan, at kalokohan you've shared with us!"

The podcast also made it clear that it does not support hateful behavior directed at anyone. It stressed that Joy’s well-being should remain a priority amid the situation.

"We will never condone or tolerate hate in any form. Your peace and well-being should always be protected," Dogshow Divas added.

Joy’s departure marks a new direction for her involvement with the podcast, while both sides have expressed gratitude for the time they spent working together.

Joy Barcoma, born Joymayanne Felix Barcoma, is a Filipino beauty pageant titleholder, host, and advocate who was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2025. A broadcasting graduate and mental health advocate, she went on to represent the Philippines at the international Miss Earth 2025 competition, placing in the Top 8.

In another report, Joy Barcoma urged the public to take greater responsibility when disposing of their trash as flooding continued to affect various parts of the Philippines. She joined a cleanup activity in Kasiglahan Village in Rodriguez, Rizal, on Wednesday, where she and Baus Rufo also handed out small surprises to residents impacted by the floods. Joy used the opportunity to remind everyone that carelessly thrown garbage can contribute to clogged waterways and make flooding even worse.

Meanwhile, Joy Barcoma has officially closed the door on competing in beauty pageants again after announcing her permanent retirement from future competitions in the country. The beauty queen and television host said she is already content with the achievement of winning the Miss Earth Philippines 2025 crown. She also believes she can continue advancing her advocacy and using her platform without returning to the pageant stage. With that chapter behind her, Joy is now directing her attention and efforts toward her growing career as a television host.
